New Host Family

Just got an update this morning, right as I was leaving for my Rotary meeting. I found out that my host family changed! I was originally going to be living with a fellow exchange student’s mother, as she went on her exchange to Mexico. But, due to family circumstances, she will not be going on exchange anymore, so they will no longer be hosting me. But, as they say, blessed be the flexible!! I got my new host family, and I am over the moon.

My new host mother messaged me in the middle of my rotary meeting, and I couldn’t help myself and answered it in the middle of the meeting. I know it’s bad manners, but if your new mother messaged you, you would answer it too! I got to speak to her a little bit and stalk her instagram as well, since she followed me on insta. I found out that she’s a hairdresser, a really good one to be honest. I also have a father who is a retired police colonel and a younger sister who is eleven! I’m so excited to have a younger sister, at least one who isn’t 10 years younger than me. No offense, Eloise. Here are some pictures of them!

Although getting a change a couple weeks before you leave isn’t the best thing, I fully believe everything happens for a reason. And me changing host families was supposed to happen!
